#K42
K42s are often used in automated systems and can be air actuated, allowing you to adjust the torque during operation. In the event of excess torque, they will slip in order to protect motors and drivetrains, and then resume driving once the load has been reduced. You can adjust the torque level without removing them from your shaft. These couplings, also known as hysteresis clutches, use magnetic force to brake, control tension, and prevent torque overload.

NOTE:
They have few moving parts, resulting in a longer lifespan compared to mechanical couplings. Simply twist the adjustment ring to set the torque within the listed range, and then lock the ring in place with the included set screw.

EXTRA:
To enhance the safety and efficiency of your automated system, it is highly recommended to use coupling devices with an overload sensor, which will allow the system to instantly disconnect power and prevent damage in case of a mechanical failure or other malfunction. __ ______ __
